"Our home is our castle", but at the same time it is a very dangerous environment. We have so many electrical appliances in our homes - appliances which quite easily can catch fire because it is difficult to keep them free from dirt and dust.

All electrical appliances generates heat, the heat must be conducted away (the appliance must cool off).

Imagine a car motor without refrigeration! Should it be overheated we get warnings through the instruments and we turn the motor off and take care of the matter. In our home we get no warnings.

We block often up the circulation of air behind our deepfreezers and fridges, washing machines, driers, dishwashers, coffee machines, televisions, videos and stereos. Besides, when dust and dirt collect around these appliances, we truly live in a surrounding that is dangerous, to say the least.

Certain times of the year, we use open fire such as candles, we serve flambée foods , we grill on balconies and terrasses, and people forget food on the stove. Then we might have people smoking in bed and psychiatrically disturbed person (pyromaniacs) in our environment.

Do you live in a flat with only one entrance, you live in a trap. Is there a fire detector howling, there might already be a fire somewhere. It could be in your flat or at some neighbour's flat. Is the entrance hall filled with smoke you cannot escape through the entrance hall.

In a home there are so many easily flammable things causing the fire to develop very fast. If you cannot extinguish the fire you must seek security. ALL OF A SUDDEN THE WINDOW MIGHT BE THE ONLY WAY OUT. Always see to it that you have two ways out.

With the help of ESCAPE ROPE you can quite easily lower yourself from the window either to another floor or right to the bottom. ESCAPE ROPE can be reused by several persons. It is also possible to lower children, disabled and unconscious people with aid from the ground. You can reuse ESCAPE ROPE making it possible to train evacuation without an emergency.

In Sweden the Fire Brigade extinguishes at least 40.000 fires in houses, flats and industry premises per annum, that is 109 fires every 24 hours. We can extinguish several fires ourselves thanks to automatic fire alarms, but around 150 fires start every 24 hours. ALWAYS SEE TO IT THAT YOU HAVE TWO WAYS OUT OF THE BUILDING, plan you evacuation BEFORE something happens.
